Kinguard 19.06 Released

After some delays we are happy to announce that we today released Kinguard 19.06. This release has a lot of under the hood reorganization and updates. The goal here is to be able to easily support more hardware platforms shortly. In the work on this a lot of effort has been made to decouple the soft...

Re: (Re)Installing OPI

Hi Johan, Posting on the forum as well. I have exchanged a few messages with Johan on PM. I suspect that the backup have failed and thus the restore from this fails. We recently found an unpleasant bug in the USB mass storage backup that could be the cause of the corrupted backup. If you use a VFAT ...

Re: Unlocking NextCloud’s potential

Yes, all opi-android apps are deprecated with the move to the Kinguard-project. They where really only convenience versions of K9, the OwnCloud app and DavDroid with OPI theming. The OPI settings app where there to provide a centralized configuration for the other applications to use. (So that you o...

Re: Unlocking NextCloud’s potential

Hi Murtagh Nice that you seem to be up and running with you upgraded OPI! It sure is possible to reach at least parts of the NC. Our theme merely hides it to give a more consistent look and feel with the rest of the system and also to make sure no incompatible configurations occur. The user admin is...

Re: Mail relay server

Hi haraldc, Currently we only support forwarding of mykeep.net/op-i.me email, sorry :( Not ruling out that we add support for custom domains later. But for now our backend infrastructure only handle unit-domains. You can of course however use our outgoing relay to send email with any sender address....

Re: Unsupported version of ownCloud server

Hi jkene, I’m currently working on this as we speak. This will unfortunately be delivered in the form of an reinstall. We are switching from Ubuntu to Debian as our base image and doing migration scripts would complicate things. The way forward for OPI owners thus is to make sure you have a recent b...

<r>Hi Ener (& PA),<br/> <br/> Just to fill in on PAs reply. <br/> <br/> It is correct that we currently focus 100% on getting Keep launched. What is interesting with this is that a lot of that work, beyond the general upgrades, is about refactoring our current code base to support more than one ...

<t>Hi Pete,<br/> <br/> OPI should be secure enough to survive in a DMZ, however you are right in that it is a tad more secure behind an additional firewall. OPI do come with its own built in firewall that denies access to ports not used by the preloaded services and is otherwise pretty locked down.<...

During doing this we will try investigating your probl...
