Re: Cannot return to OPI after failed OPI-to-Kinguard upgrade

Hi Darek, From what I read in your other post , it seems to me as you have succeeded in the upgrade, and that is why you see this as a fresh install. Reading your post it seems as if you have a fresh USB backup, I would recommend to power off the system, insert the USB memory and a newly formatted S...

Re: OPI-to-Kinguard upgrade FAILED

Hi Darek, I do not quite follow you here on why yo say the update fails. The installation process for OPI is just as you say, the leds flashes for a couple of minutes then the system makes a power down and the LEDs turn off. This is since the SD-card needs to be replaced and it is a bit different fr...

Re: Calendar, cannot access personal settings

Hi Harald, I can verity that this is not possible and I have added this to our bug tracker. The reason for this is that we are using a common user database for all applications, and the email can not be retrieved. So until this is fixed, invitations must be sent out using another calendar applicatio...

Re: Solid support

Yes, this is an interesting project and if anyone wants to try to run in on KEEP, we would be happy to support and discuss this. It seems rather straightforward to install they have a good example for Debian , so with some minor tweaks it should be possible to have it co-exist with the normal Kingua...

Re: Backup takes long time

I just realized that you probably are using KEEP, since this is posted in "KEEP support"... Still the second part of my answer above applies, the Nextcloud scan will take forever on the current stable version, but that will be significantly improved with the software currently in testing. ...

Re: Backup takes long time

Hi Harald, I am assuming that you are using OPI with a pre 18.06 release? The best way to speed up the backup is to upgrade the software to 18.06. In the old software there were a couple of unnecessary time-consuming recursive calls to index the data that has been removed. Also we are currently test...

Restoring a backup - good to know stuff

If the system is in need of a total restore of data, this is possible to do from a clean installation. A couple of things that one need to remember though. Do not reload the page or close the browser. Currently the setup process does not support that. The Master Password must be the same as the pass...

Re: System Messages on OPI 18.06.2

Hi murtagh, When we did the implementation of the notifications, we had a long debate on what to show to the user and how. Too much information would only annoy the user and in the long run, the user would start to ignore the messages. What we ended up with is that the system should only show inform...
