Re: Successor of Keep
Hi Harald! You are unfortunately correct in that a followup to Keep most likely wont happen. We never managed to get enough revenue out of selling these setups to justify the work put into it. Sad but true. Regarding backups, i actually thought Nikolaus had stopped developing S3QL, but that does not...

Re: Nextcloud client does not work
HI Haraldc, Unfortunately the Nextcloud install in the 20.07 release is very outdated and more or less incompatible with the current NC-client. The good news is that we are, hopefully, shortly releasing the big upgrade for Kinguard and Keep based on Debian Buster. With this we provide an updated Nex...

Re: Router with no internet-facing ip address
Hi Haraldc, Unfortunately this seems like a troublesome situation. If the unit is behind a router on a private network, without a public address, the only solution is to use something like a VPN solution. (Which by the way is something OpenProducts is evaluating to provide as a service) If you get a...

Re: Log warning - apt cleanup
Hi haraldc,
The backup log seems fine. The error message in the update log however is due to a bug I have updated the package once again, (opi-updates 1.0.18~bpo8), and the update should hopefully succeed once updated. If not get back to us!

Re: Log warning - apt cleanup
Yeah, you probably got the update last night and the message then originated from the old update package. Lets wait and see tomorrow

Re: Log warning - apt cleanup
Hi haraldc, First off, the warning is related to the update, thus i suspect you have two different issues here. (Not saying that they aren't related). The reason that you did not find the log file is due to a bug in the update script. I have updated that package and pushed it to the repositories (op...

Re: Accessing the Nextcould server.
Hi again, After investigating this some more there is some mis-configuration. Possibly due to the Nextcloud server being quite old. If you are comfortable with the commandline there is a workaround that seems to work for me at least. Log in to your device using ssh. As root edit the file: /etc/nginx...

Re: Accessing the Nextcould server.
Hi misiu_mp,
I can confirm your issues with the sync-client. I'm able to reproduce it. Unfortunately i have not yet found a workaround. I will try investigate this further and get back asap.

Certificates updated on OpenProducts backend servers
TL;DR: If your OpenProducts based backup or dns update stopped working recently make sure you are running the Kinguard 20.07 release on a restarted device. OpenProducts today updated all backend certificates used to authenticate servers and encrypt communications between them and units such as OPI a...
