Note, this is experimental software. Dont use on production systems and dont trust it with data you can't live without!! Start of with a newly installed system, currently only Debian Stretch based installs are supported. You will also need a separate disk to use for data storage. KGP-software will concider this as its own and reformat it and encrypt it. Be warned! Make sure the system is up to date. Download the kgp-setup.tar.gz archive onto the system and extract it: tar xvf kgp-setup.tar.gz Enter the newly created directory cd kgp-setup If running on Amd64 check skeleton/etc/opi/devicedb.json and verify that network interface and storage device is correct. As root start the setup script: ./setup.sh THe script will modify the system and install the KGP-software and then reboot. When the system is rebooted and fully up again. Navigate your web browser to the unit in question. You will there be guided through the initial setup. The first page will ask you for the master password. This is the password used to encrypt the data-disk select this carefully and dont lose it! There is now way to recover a lost password. Forget it and your data is most likely lost forever. You will need this password to unlock the systems upon reboot. Next you will be asked for a device name and optionally a domain to use. Finally you will be asked to add an initial user. This user will have admin privileges and you can add additional users later using this login. When completed you will be redirected to the running system and you should be able to login and start using the system.
